YES Prep is a free, open-enrollment public school for students in 6th-12th grade. We are one of the top-performing public school systems in Houston and have earned Exemplary and Recognized ratings every year of operation. Graduates from YES have already been accepted to over 215 colleges and universities around the country like University of Texas, Texas A&M University, Stanford and Yale, and most of these students are the first in their family to go to college. • Everyone at YES is committed to doing their very best, and they sign a contract to prove it!

• YES teachers are committed to doing Whatever It Takes to help students succeed. Each teacher carries a cell phone so that you can contact them after regular school hours.

• The school day is longer than normal which gives you the chance to participate in fantastic after-school activities like sports, dance, arts clubs, and other opportunities.

• There are rewards for doing well, including monthly field trips and week-long spring trips to different areas of the country. By senior year, you will have visited California, Washington D.C., West Texas, the Midwest, and many other exciting places.

• YES has very high expectations for its students. In fact, in order to graduate high school, all YES students must be accepted to college. By coming to YES, you will have the chance to go to college!

To become a student at YES, you need to enter your name in our student lottery.
There are a variety of ways to enter your name:

Call or Visit the School
Call or visit the school in your area. Click on the map to find the phone number and address for the campus closest to you.
Then, call or stop by during normal business hours and we will add you to the lottery.

Attend an Information Session
We will be hosting three information sessions on campus so you can learn more about YES and enter your name in the lottery.

PLEASE NOTE: You only need to enter your name one time to be include in the lottery. We will not accept multiple entries for the same student, so once you have turned in the form or used the on-line system, you are done with the process. The lottery will take place in mid-December and we will let you know by mid-January if your student has been chosen or placed in the waiting pool.
