Leading Excellence Fellowship
The Leading Excellence fellowship exists to build a pipeline of high-performing, humble leaders who serve to fulfill the YES Prep mission and vision. With the growth of our organization and our schools, we need high-performing talent at all levels and across all teams. YES Prep is built upon the foundation of strong leadership, and as we create more opportunities for students we must continue to foster growth in our pipeline. This program features an intense leadership coaching model, a pedagogy for leadership, and action-oriented deliverables to develop emerging leaders in preparation for future endeavors within the organization. Leadership is influence, and at YES Prep we believe in creating influence and opportunity to ensure the highest quality in our school system.

Instructional Leadership at YES Prep is driven on the model of strong teacher support and evaluation to create jaw-dropping results in the classroom. We build a world-class talent pipeline of teachers by providing excellent support through an effective coaching model of frequent touch points, a focus on teacher performance and student achievement data, as well as quality professional learning opportunities to ensure a constant pursuit of excellence in the classroom.

Cultural leaders own the YES Prep culture and core values and work tirelessly to build a culture of achievement as well as strong character in our students.

Unlike traditional school districts that have a dedicated department in the central office responsible for writing curriculum and assessments, YES Prep takes the opposite approach, placing the power in the hands of the innovators in this work—our highly-effective teachers.
Teachers with extensive classroom experience and a track record of success hold content Leadership roles at YES Prep. They have a reduced course-load in order to prepare exemplar planning materials, write assessments, support teachers, and produce professional learning for their content area across the system.

The School Director role is one of the most impactful leadership positions at YES Prep. They are exceptional school managers responsible for setting and executing on the campus vision around academics and culture. The majority of YES Prep School Directors are internally cultivated, starting as teachers and emerging leaders and then developed into effective leaders of our strongest unit of change – the school.
Home Office Leadership
Home Office leadership roles serve a variety of different organizational functions including: communications, operations, technology, finance, human resources, talent recruitment, fundraising, and more. Individuals who work in the Home Office are committed to providing unwavering support to all YES Prep campuses as well as the overall organization. They are promoted internally or recruited to the organization for their unique expertise. While Home Office leadership opportunities cover a wide range of responsibilities, there is one common-thread that unites this team—a commitment to our students.
