Millionaire Shirts
Our school provides the “Millionaire” Program each year, a competition where students track their reading through Accelerated Reader to reach 1,000,000 words read throughout each school year. The competition is already on the way (so encourage your students to read and track!), however, we are still seeking funding for Millionaire Shirts. Student Handbooks
The YES Prep Public Schools Student Handbook exists to notify you of the expectations and guidelines students are required to follow while attending a YES Prep school. This Handbook is available online at under For Parents and at  To request a hard copy of the YES Prep Public Schools Student Handbook, parents/guardians can complete a request form online.  Your campus will print a copy and you will receive it within 7-10 business days.  Please reach out to your campus Dean of Students if you have any questions. 

Donor’s Choose

As a result of missed instructional days due to Harvey, we have posted an updated Academic calendar on the YES Prep website:
Key points:
- Students WILL have school on October 5th.
- Students WILL have school on January 12th.
- All other holidays remain the same.

Free DACA Legal Representation
Melissa Noriega, the Vice President of Policy & Partnerships at Baker Ripley Community Developers (,
would like community members to be aware of the resources available at BakerRipley in light of the recent announcement on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). They would like everyone to know that they are here to help, and will be providing the following resources:
• Our goal is to support as many DACA recipients as possible with renewing their work permits before the October 5th, 2017 deadline. Starting Friday, September 8th (and ending October 2nd) our Attorneys and BIA Accredited Representatives will offer FREE legal representation in DACA renewal cases on a walk-in basis 5 days per week at two different centers:
o Baker Ripley: Monday - Friday; 9:30AM-4:30PM
o Ripley House: Tuesdays & Thursdays; 9:30AM-4:30PM
o Free service – no appointment required
