A program of Aid to Victims of Domestic Violence, this project helps men and women develop practical techniques to stop the cycle of violence. Treatment for abusive men & women. Sliding scale fee. Assistance in procuring physical safety, counseling, support, and information on legal rights for abuse victims. Crisis intervention for rape, suicide, and domestic violence. Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) provides child therapy (ages 3-10), emergency transportation, medical referrals and legal services, legal and peer advocacy. Helpline, information and referral. Accompaniment through legal system. Domestic violence classes Th. 6-7:30pm (English). Requires registration. Transportation and limited financial assistance. Provides non-residential outreach services to victims of domestic abuse and their children.
Group counseling for families and children. Youth education services for surrounding school districts. Play and art therapy available to children. SPCA will keep pets free of charge while at-risk families seek safe refuge. Intake M-F, 8am-5pm, some weekends/evenings. No fee.
