- All food is carefully prepared in our kitchens by chefs and heated on-site at your location. Our meals are kid approved to keep program participation high.
- Healthier meals with fewer ingredients. Before the passing of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, Preferred had already begun reformulating products to remove Trans Fat, lower total and sodium and to replace artificial ingredients and preservatives.

|Students require nutritious meals to learn and become productive adults. The Child Nutrition Department offers quality, nutritious meals and a la carte food items daily. All meals are free of charge to students in the 2018-2019 school year.

|All students who need changes to their meals, such as in the case with life-threatening food allergies, will be required to provide physician’s documentation by submitting a complete and signed “Request for Dietary Accommodations” form, found below.
YES Prep Public Schools is required to collect and report the socioeconomic status of each student to the Texas Education Agency for purposes of the annual state accountability ratings and for federal reporting. All students should complete a family income survey per household per year.
