YES
Can your support help change Houston’s low-income neighborhoods?
YES Prep aims for nothing less than a transformation of Houston’s low-income neighborhoods. Through our comprehensive educational model, YES equips low-income students with the skills and experiences they need to obtain a college degree and use it as a lever to strengthen our entire community.
As a state charter school, YES receives 80% of its operating funds from state and federal sources. In order to offer our complete educational model, YES must raise an additional $1,500 per student from individuals, foundations, and corporations. We maximize every dollar we receive to ensure that each student receives a rigorous and rewarding education. Your support will make it possible for YES students to:
- Attend a longer school day than their peers in regular public schools—YES offers extra-curricular activities, clubs, and sports during our Enrichment Block
- Participate in our Service-Learning Saturdays program once a month to improve neighborhoods across the greater Houston area
- Excel in our three week Summer School Session as they take classes modeled after the collegiate environment
- Explore colleges across the country during the Spring College Research Trips. By senior year, YES students have visited over 20 college campuses to help them in the application process
All donations are tax-deductible. Click on the Donate Now button and your gift will help YES students achieve their dreams of collegiate success.
Become a YES Scholars Society Member!
The YES Scholars Society was established to recognize the premier circle of YES donors. Society members make it possible for a student to experience every component of the YES model:
-
A gift of $1,500 sponsors one student for the entire school year.
-
A gift of $6,000 sponsors one student for his/her entire high school career.
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
The success of the YES model has led to an increased demand for YES schools in different areas of the city. YES currently receives no state funding for facilities and this has made it difficult for YES to fully implement its growth strategy. Consequently, YES has launched a an expansion campaign to fund our growth and provide sorely needed facilities for our schools.
