2024 APIA Summit
Recap of the 2024 APIA Summit
The 2024 APIA Summit was held in-person on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eternal Gandhi Museum of Houston and YES Prep Brays Oaks Secondary. The summit is a safe space for high school and middle school students who identify as APIA to be able to connect with one another, share their stories and learn more about their identity.
Summit co-leads Jeevan Moses, Director, College Counseling with YES Prep Brays Oaks Secondary; Jennifer Reyes, Director of School Operations; and Stephanie Gounder, Managing Director of Teacher Development, worked hard to create an impactful summit where students can learn, connect, share stories, and celebrate all things APIA.
About the APIA Summit
The APIA Summit exists to provide a safe and welcoming space for our Asian Pacific-Islander American students and staff where they can celebrate and honor APIA cultures and identities as well as raise awareness around current issues surrounding the APIA community.
