Elementary
Elementary Summer Programming
Accelerated Learning
June 9 - June 27
Accelerated Learning is required for identified students entering grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 in August 2025. Students will be identified by their STAAR scores (students entering grade 4) and end-of-year MAP Scores (students entering grades 1, 2 and 3) in Math and Reading.
Students entering grades 1 - 5 in August 2025 experience an intensive summer academic program addressing prior grade level foundational content and skills through TEKS-aligned instruction. Students will leave the Summer Accelerated Learning program having mastered or further progressed towards mastery ultimately setting them up for academic success in the next school year.
Please look for communication directly from your campus in early May and a final notice of student identification the week of May 27 - May 30.
Camp Chispas
June 2 - June 27 (NO PROGRAMMING ON JUNE 19 or 20)
Emergent Bilingual (EB) students entering kindergarten or grade 1 in August 2025 (students who are currently in pre-k or kindergarten) will participate in 120 hours of additional instruction as required by the State of Texas. Camp Chispas is specifically designed for qualifying students entering kindergarten and 1st grade in the bilingual or ESL program. Program is offered to all qualifying students – program is not available to students who are not in the bilingual or ESL programs.
Special Populations Support
June 2 - June 27 (NO PROGRAMMING ON JUNE 19 or 20)
Support programming will be offered for Elementary students in Special Education in all grades from kindergarten through grade 5.
5th - 6th Grade Bridge Camp
June 9 - June 27
Students entering grade 6 in August 2025 experience an intensive summer academic program addressing prior grade level foundational content and skills through TEKS-aligned instruction. Students will leave the program having mastered or further progressed towards mastery ultimately setting them up for academic success in the next school year for 6th grade readiness.
4th - 5th Grade Bilingual Bridge Camp
June 9 - June 27
Bilingual students entering grade 5 in August 2025 will engage in a jump start experience in learning and experiencing grade 5 academic programming in English as a preview of learning experience in the 2025 school year. Additionally, they will experience reading and math MAP testing in English as an initial goal setting data point.
Secondary
Secondary Summer Programming
Accelerated Learning

Rising Grade 9 and High School (HS) End-of-Course (EOC) course students will experience an intensive summer academic program addressing prior-course level foundational content and skills through TEKS-aligned instruction. Students will leave the Summer Accelerated Learning program having mastered or further progressed towards mastery ultimately setting them up for academic success in the next school year.
Credit and Attendance Recovery
June 9 - june 27 (no programming on june 19 or 20)
Credit Recovery is required for students for students in grades 9 - 12 who do not pass a high school credited class or need to make up attendance hours.
YES Prep will provide a Credit Recovery program that provides access for all students to regain credit. The Credit Recovery program will utilize Edmentum Courseware, an online platform, and offer courses at each campus. This opportunity will allow YES Prep to provide more classes, reduce the cost to families and the organization, and streamline logistics for quick and easy enrollment for families and campuses.

ASPIRE Enrichment Programming
June 9 - june 27 (no programming on june 19 or 20)
Enrichment Programming will be offered through ASPIRE for students in grades 6 - 12. Summer programming activities are intentionally designed to connect to student enrichment interest and needs while providing innovative and interactive opportunities, based on best-practice, hands-on methods of instruction that encourage student participation.
Special Populations Support

Support programming will be offered for Secondary students in Special Education in grades 6 - 12.
STAAR EOC Testing
June 24 - June 26
To meet state graduation requirements, YES Prep high school students who need to re-test the STAAR EOC will be able to take and pass all 5 STAAR EOCs - English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and US History.

Breakfast and Lunch
YES Prep is participating in the Summer Healthy Meal Programs again this year!
Beginning Monday, June 2nd at all YES Prep campuses, children ages 18 and younger, and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old, can continue to eat healthy breakfast and lunch throughout the summer at no cost. The last day of the summer meals program is Friday, June 27th. No meals will be served on Wednesday, June 19th or Thursday, June 20th as YES Prep campuses will be closed in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
The hours for summer feeding are:
Breakfast
- Elementary: 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
- Secondary: 8:15 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
lunch
- Elementary: 10:15 a.m. - 12:25 p.m.
- Secondary: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
