We believe all students will have an opportunity for success that is specific to their needs (4-year, 2-year, military, employment). To properly support students with their transition, our work must start earlier with students and their families.

The mission of YES Prep is to empower all Houston students to succeed in college and to pursue lives of opportunity. While all students will have this opportunity as a result of attending YES Prep, we believe that in order to serve ALL students, specific opportunities tailored to their needs must be available post - high school.

Student opportunities should be a system initiative. Student opportunities drive college-going identities by exposing students to cultural awareness, service learning and career exploration. We believe partnerships with colleges and universities help create access and opportunity for YES Prep Students. In an effort to increase matriculation, persistence, and graduation for our students, we have worked with colleges and universities across the United States to create agreements that detail supports our partners promise to provide for our students. These institutions believe in going above and beyond in order to support our students and ensure they complete a degree at their institution.
