SAT Saturday
At YES Prep, all Juniors take the SAT one time during the Fall Semester. For the 24-25 school year, that SAT will be Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Some students may choose to take the SAT on additional Saturdays throughout the school year, but all Students after their first SAT in December will have two opportunities to take the SAT again before the graduate on SAT School Day at their school during the Spring of their Junior year and Fall of their Senior Year.
Preparing for SAT Saturday:
As the December SAT approaches, please review this information to ensure you or your child is ready for the SAT the morning of the Test.
- Practice in Khan Academy: Make sure in the week leading up to the test, including while you are on Fall Break. Khan Academy can be accessed on your YES Prep laptop or installed on your phone as an App. We want all students to practice SAT Skills to Proficient to prepare for the test!
- Have a transportation plan to arrive on time: Doors Open at 7:45 a.m. Unless your admission ticket states otherwise do to a difference at your specific testing site test centers open at 7:45 a.m. and doors close at 8 a.m. unless otherwise noted on your admission ticket.
- Print Your Admission Ticket: Connect with your College Counselor about how you will get your admissions ticket. YES Prep supports students by printing tickets so make sure you know when you will be able to get yours.
- Fully Charge Your Laptop the Night Before: Please bring your YES Prep Laptop and charger fully charged the day of the exam. You may not have access to a power outlet during the test. Your laptop should be able to hold charge for the length of the test if needed. If your laptop does not hold a charge for 3 or more hours, please let your campus know before the SAT to see if there are ways your campus can support.
- Get Some Rest: get a good night’s sleep before the test and to eat a nutritious breakfast on the day of the exam.
- Bring your Photo Identification: Students must bring a valid photo ID (driver’s license, YES Prep ID, etc.). Make sure your ID is current and matches the photo you / your child submitted when they registered.
