What is the Ignite Program?

“Ignite” Career Exposure & Exploration Program is a key component of YES Prep’s College Initiatives model, designed to embed career exploration and exposure throughout a student’s secondary school experience. Through strategic partnerships with colleges, industries, and community organizations, Ignite equips students with real-world insights, hands-on learning opportunities, and access to mentors and professionals across diverse fields. By integrating career-connected learning into our seminar curriculum and school-wide programming, Ignite helps students build confidence in their strengths, clarify their goals, and make informed decisions about their future. The ultimate aim is for every YES Prep graduate to leave with a clear, confident postsecondary plan whether that’s college, career, or military, grounded in both exploration and experience.
