Title 1 Meeting
YES Prep will be hosting Title I annual meetings in the fall semester to ensure parents and family members are aware of their rights and responsibilities in the education of their children.
We value contributions from parents and family members and, as such, strive to build positive and strong partnerships between the children’s two worlds, school and home.
Topics discussed at the meetings are:
-
Campus Improvement Plan (CIP)
-
YES Prep Campus Specific Family Engagement Policy
-
School-Parent Compact
-
Family Engagement Opportunities
We invite you to be part of the conversation at your campus' Title I meeting as another way to get involved and support your child's learning journey at YES Prep!
Title I Annual Meetings Fall 2022
About Title I
Title I provides supplemental funding to state and local educational agencies (LEAs) to acquire additional education resources at schools serving high concentrations of students from low-income homes. These resources are used to improve the quality of education programs and ensure students from low-income families have opportunities to meet challenging state assessments.
All schools receiving Title I funds are required to host an annual Title I parent meeting to inform parents and families of their school’s participation, to explain the requirements of the Title I program, and to explain the right of parents to be involved. All YES Prep schools, except our three partnership campuses, receive Title I funds.
