YES Prep Public Schools

YES Prep was one of the first districts in the state of Texas to be approved for participation in The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)!  The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) provides an accessible pathway for effective teachers to earn a higher income while remaining in the classroom. This means that based on our teacher salary scale, upon their 3rd year in the role, teachers in an eligible course can earn up to:

  • 3 years of experience: $94,500

  • 5 years of experience: $96,000

  • 10 years of experience: $99,000

  • 15 years of experience: $101,500

The Opportunity

Teachers can earn a designation of “Recognized,” “Exemplary,” and “Master” based on their student growth and performance on the Instructional Excellence Rubric.

Teachers who earn a TIA designation receive an allotment of up to $32,000 each year for 5 years so long as they remain a classroom teacher in an eligible course. Here’s what each level of designation can earn yearly!

*YES Prep teachers keep 90% of their total allotment (YES Prep Southside teachers keep 100%). In many surrounding districts, that 90% is used to supplant overall teacher salary and does not go straight to the designee.
