YES Prep Child Nutrition Team Earns National Recognition at ANFP 2026
YES Prep Public Schools' Child Nutrition team was recognized during the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) 2026 Annual Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida, receiving two prestigious national awards: the 2026 Horizon Award presented to Mariel Almazan and the 2026 Dining Distinction Award presented to Georgia Georgacopulos.
These awards recognize their dedication to excellence in school nutrition and reflect the continued commitment of the YES Prep Child Nutrition team to serving students and supporting healthy school communities. Congratulations to Mariel, Georgia, and the entire team on this outstanding achievement!

YES Prep Public Schools' Child Nutrition team continues to excel, earning multiple accolades at the Denim & Diamonds Honors Gala on June 11 in Reno, Nevada during the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals 2024 Annual Conference and Expo.
The team received the 2024 Dining Distinction Award, the 2024 Horizon Award and the prestigious Foodservice Department of the Year Award. These honors highlight their dedication to student health, innovative food service practices and exceptional teamwork.
These awards underscore the remarkable impact of YES Prep's Child Nutrition team on their students and the broader community. Congratulations to Jaimie Griffiths (Dining Distinction Award Winner), Maria Alvarado (Horizon Award Winner), and the entire team for their dedication and hard work in promoting health and nutrition!
