Summer transfers for the 2025-2026 school year is now open. The Transfer Window 2 will open on August 8, 2025. If approved, start October 15 (Q2)
Current YES Prep Fifth Grade Families
If you are a parent of a fifth-grade student who is looking to transfer from your offered feeder pattern seat, please contact your school front office team directly for more information.
What's the Big Idea?
The YES Prep transfer policy is here to give families like yours some extra help if you ever need to change schools within the YES Prep district. We want to make sure that you feel supported and comfortable in your educational journey with us.
When Can You Transfer?
Transfer request can be made during open transfer windows. Transfers for the 2025-2026 school year begin in May 2025. All transfer requests can be made via the campus Microsoft Forms as listed below.
If you're new to YES Prep, we want to make sure you've had a chance to settle in and experience YES Prep for at least one school semester before you are eligible to request a transfer through our school transfer form during the appropriate transfer window request period.
How Does It Work?
If you've been with us for at least one school semester and you're thinking about transferring to a different YES Prep school, our transfer policy is here to help. You can apply to transfer by talking to your current school's staff. They'll guide you through the process and help you with any questions you might have.

We care about you and your education. Sometimes, things change in our lives, and we might need to switch schools. Maybe you're moving to a new neighborhood or you think a different YES Prep school might be a better fit for you. Whatever the reason, we're here to support you every step of the way.

Possible Transfer Reasons for submitting a Transfer Request
Reasons for transfer requests can vary for students below are the types of transfers that are considered for approval based on enrollment availability at a YES Prep school. Internal transfers may be requested to meet a student's academic need and or intervention/support.

| Address Change | A current YES Prep family makes a request to transfer to a YES Prep campus because they have moved permanent addresses into a new YES Prep zone. | Most recent utility bill or lease showing a valid in-charter address. |
| Sibling Transfer | A current YES Prep family makes a request to transfer to a YES Prep school where his or her sibling currently attends. | Complete the Transfer Form indicating sibling information. |
| Employee Transfer | A current YES Prep employee and family makes a request to transfer their student to the campus in which they work at. | Complete the Transfer Form indicating employee information. |
