At YES Prep, we firmly believe that families, schools, and the community play a crucial role as partners in the education of every child. We are thrilled and honored that you have chosen YES Prep for the education of your child and we look forward to working with you for many years to come!

Our partnership with students and families is strengthened through a three-part initiative called The New Family Experience; Welcome to YES, Commit to YES, and Succeed at YES. Welcome to YES happened back in April when you first accepted your child's seat and attended a virtual event hosted by your child's campus leadership team.  Commit to YES and Succeed at YES will both occur in the first few weeks of school.

Commit to YES is a wonderful research-based tradition at YES Prep Public Schools. Every year we reach out to the families of our new students to arrange sacred time to connect with them in their home, on campus, or another comfortable location in their community.

Through Commit to YES, we want to warmly welcome our families as valued members of the YES Prep community and learn more about their hopes and dreams for their children. We commit to doing whatever it takes to provide all of our students with an individualized pathway to academic and personal success and to engage in two-way communication with our families throughout their YES Prep experience.

NOTE: Due to Covid-19, all families will have the option to have a virtual home visit or in person home visit. We simply want to connect to lay the foundation for a trusting relationship between families and our schools.  A member of your child's campus team will be in touch in August to discuss your preferences and schedule your virtual or in person home visit.

As we begin a new school year, especially in the current context, we will be working closely with students at all grade levels to be sure they know what it will take to be successful in the upcoming year. We will be sure to share those lessons with our families too so we can work in partnership to achieve our goals! Stay tuned for more information from district and campus leaders.
