YES Prep Kickoff is a day-long opportunity for teachers and staff to align with our vision that every child will have equitable access to a public school that delivers an excellent, college-ready education.

Location: YES Prep Kickoff will occur at Westin Galleria Houston, 5060 West Alabama Street.

Parking: Attendees have access to FREE parking across all Galleria parking garages. The garages closest to Kickoff 2019/Westin Galleria Houston are:

Orange Garage- Entrances on West Alabama (Westin Galleria side)
Green/Red Garage- Entrances on West Alabama (Nordstrom side), McCue & Hidalgo
Brown Garage- Entrances on West Alabama (Westin Galleria side)

Parking at the Westin Galleria

Attendees who opt out to use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft should navigate to the Westin Galleria Houston valet entrance, 5060 West Alabama Street.

Arrival & Check-in

Plan to arrive by 8:15 a.m. to have ample time to park and check-in for the day in the Ballroom Foyer on the 3rd floor. Attendees will check-in at their campus table, where you will pick up your name tag and Leading Houston Forward lanyard. Enjoy complimentary coffee and tea and purchase t-shirts before the opening session.

Food

Lunch will be on your own in the Galleria. Please note that there is nowhere to store bagged lunches during the day. Coffee service will be available in the morning until it runs out. Salty/sweet snacks will be available during the afternoon transition at 2:30. Water will be available throughout the day.

T-Shirts

Like last year, t-shirts will be $10. Tejas will be accepting cash and credit cards.

Nursing Mothers' Room

Two nursing mothers' rooms will be available throughout the day. They are room numbers 443 and 444. Upon arrival, please go to the logistics table located in the foyer to sign up for a time and receive a room key. If you have any questions, please reach out to laurene.davis@yesprep.org.
