Application Process

Our selective hiring process is both an opportunity for us to determine whether you are a good fit for YES Prep and an opportunity to decide whether YES Prep is the right fit for you. Check out our Application and Finalist Day Tips to gain insight on our process.

Step 1 - Submit Your Application

Complete an application through our official Careers Site

Be sure your essay question responses are thorough and thoughtful. Submitting carefully reviewed essays will show us how much you care about the potential to work at YES Prep. Consider reaching out to a trusted peer, mentor or supervisor to ask for help reviewing your essays and resume before submission.
For Instructional Positions upload the following:
- A current resume
- Official or unofficial undergraduate transcript(s)
- Certification, or proof of enrollment in an Education Preparation Program or Alternative Certification Program.

Step 2 - Application Review

Step 3 - Telephone or Video Interview

Part of our hiring process may include a telephone or video interview. YES Prep utilizes video interviews as a way to learn more about you and your fit at YES Prep.
Relax and be yourself – We want to know the real you!
Find a quiet, distraction-free area to complete your interview.
Be sure to provide detailed responses. This will allow us to learn more about you, to be your best advocate by highlighting your strengths, achievements, and approach to your work.

Step 4 - Finalist Interview

If selected for a Finalist Interview, you will be contacted directly by the Hiring Manager to schedule the interview.
Finalist Interviews may include completion of a selection activity to be completed by email submission or during the interview. Examples of activities include analyzing a data set, providing a writing sample, or teaching a sample lesson.
Dress Professionally – All YES Prep campuses and Home Office have professional dress codes.
Ask Questions – The final interview is your chance to ask your potential future manager about the role, the organization, and working on the team.
Research – YES Prep being the right fit for you is just as important as you being the right fit for us. Spend some time reviewing our website, our mission and values, and the work we do!
