Fingerprinting -For new hires coming from out of state, please note that you must be fingerprinted in the state of Texas. If you're coming from out of town, please make arrangements to come to Texas no later than June 7, 2024 to fulfill this requirement. This will ensure that we are able to receive your results prior to summer programming.

Payroll Tasks:

Within your first week on staff you will receive an email from payroll@yesprep.org to log into Employee Self Service and complete your direct deposit and W-4 form. 

Setting up Direct Deposit:

1. Log in to the Employee Self Service homepage.
2. Select the "Pay/Tax Information" tile.
3. Click on "Direct Deposit."
4. Choose "Add primary account."
5. Enter your bank name or routing number.
6. Enter your Account number.
7. Select your Account Type: Checking or Savings.
8. Verify the information entered is accurate.
9. Click the "Save" button.

You'll receive an email confirming the Direct Deposit request.

Setting up W-4 Tax Information:

1. Log in to the Employee Self Service homepage.
2. Select the "Pay/Tax Information" tile.
3. Click on "W-4."
4. Choose your Filing Status.
5. Complete Step 2 through 4 on W-4 form ONLY if they apply to you.
6. Verify the information entered is accurate.
7. Click on "I hereby confirm that I am requesting this change be made to my deductions."
8. Click the "SUBMIT" button to certify your W-4 selection. 

You'll receive an email confirming the W-4 request.

    • Second Enrollment (09/01/2024-08/31/2025):
      • Elect your 24-25 benefits during the Annual Enrollment window.

For 10-Month Employees:

• Start Date in August:
  • Benefits Effective Date (09/01/2024-08/31/2025):
    • Benefits will be effective from September 1st, 2024.
    • Elect your 24-25 benefits during the Annual Enrollment window.

How to Enroll in Benefits:

• Schedule an appointment with an Enrollment Specialist:
  • Within your 30-day enrollment period after your first official day on staff.

If you are coming from another Texas educational entity, you can request your service record from your previous organization’s HR or Records Management department to provide to YES Prep. This will allow you to transfer accrued state days from a qualifying entity to one’s total PTO time.

Email service records to talent@yesprep.org to have them added to your total Paid Time Off balance. 

Verification of Employment is now automated! We have partnered with The Work Number from Equifax, which is a quick and more private way to get your employment and income information to companies when needed, 24/7. If you need a Verification of Employment before your first day of work please email talent@yesprep.org.
