Bilingual & Special Education Teacher
Starts at $64,000 

  • Sign-on bonuses available for qualifying candidates.
    Up to $4,000 Certified SPED Teachers
    Up to $4,000 Certified Bilingual Teachers

  • Stipend available for qualifying candidates.
    Up to $5,000 Certified SPED Teachers
    Up to $6,000 Certified Bilingual Teachers

YES Prep was one of the first districts in the state of Texas to be approved for participation in The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)!  The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) provides an accessible pathway for effective teachers to earn a higher income while remaining in the classroom. This means that based on our teacher salary scale, upon their 3rd year in the role, teachers in an eligible course can earn up to:
1 year of experience: $93,000
5 years of experience: $96,000
10 years of experience: $99,000
15 years of experience: $101,500

  • Submit an application by March 1, 2026
  • Participate in a virtual informational session

March 25th-27th - In-Person Interviews in San Juan
  • Teach a sample lesson in English
  • Participate in Campus Matching Interviews

  • Teacher programming begins July 2026
  • Deadline to move to Houston, Texas is June 30th, 2026 to make sure you're present for summer training.

Step 3: Interview
If selected for a Finalist Interview, you will be contacted directly by the Hiring Manager to schedule the interview.

Finalist Interviews will include a portion dedicated to teaching a sample lesson. Information about the sample lesson will be provided to candidates at interview invitation.

Step 4: Onboarding
If a hiring manager is interested in offering you a position, you will receive an offer letter via email. Once an offer is accepted, you will receive instructions to begin the onboarding process.
