YES Prep has recently received generous support from the Pagan family to establish the Pagan Family Scholarship. The Pagan family are long-time supporters of YES Prep since 2002. Greer Pagan is a former YES Prep Board member, and Greer and his wife Elizabeth are current Advisory Council members.

This scholarship is a four-year renewable scholarship award totaling $8,000. The scholarship supports YES Prep alumni who attend a college or university outside Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, or Oklahoma. All students who receive the scholarship have strong academics at YES Prep and maintain at least a 2.5 College GPA to renew the scholarship each year.

College Readiness at YES Prep

YES Prep is committed to helping our seniors to and through college. If your child is a senior, make sure he or she has met with their college counselor. Our college counselors meet one-on-one with students to guide them toward colleges that match their career aspirations, have strong support programs and are financially affordable. Our counselors also work with families to help them understand financial aid award letters and determine which colleges are most affordable.

Among YES Prep’s commitments to preparing students for college their senior year, is by presenting our annual College Fair and offering opportunities to learn about different colleges throughout the year. Naviance is also a great digital tool available to our juniors and seniors to assist them as they prepare for college.

To learn more about the support and resources provided by our College Initiatives team, make sure to check out their website. Here you will find more information about our IMPACT program, as well as newly added conversation guides for families regarding the college application cycle and preparing for fall senior advising.
