On Wednesday, January 4, the YES Prep College Initiatives team hosted their annual Winter Alumni Social, this time, at Saint Arnold’s Brewery. The Winter Alumni Social is a longstanding tradition at YES where alumni from past classes are invited to come out, reconnect with old classmates and teachers and network with alumni from other YES schools.

This year, alumni joined us from 15 different graduating classes, including the very first graduating class of 2001. Alumni partook in several activities like bingo, raffles and swag giveaways. A complimentary nacho station along with drinks were also provided by the brewery. Participating alumni were welcomed by former teachers and college counselors and had the opportunity to connect with the YES Prep Talent team about career opportunities at YES.

As an alumna and former YES teacher, it doesn’t get better than this!

Alejandra Munoz, director of alumni affairs, shared, “I thoroughly enjoyed planning and attending the 2023 Alumni Social. As an alumna and former YES teacher, it doesn’t get better than this! I left with a full heart having reconnected with fellow alumni as well as some of my former students. Overall, it was a good time for all, and I look forward to providing more opportunities for alumni to reengage with YES Prep.”
