Some of the best high schools in the nation are right here in Houston. All 10 eligible YES Prep Public Schools earned gold medals—placing in the top 10 percent of the state and nation for being the best “at getting students to graduation day”—in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Rankings.

The U.S. News & World Report publishes rankings of the best high schools annually. The publication measures how well students at each school perform compared to the rest of their state and nation, how historically underserved students achieve academically, how many students graduate, and how well-prepared students are for college.
