Something exciting is on the horizon for YES Prep Northside Secondary, we’re moving to a brand-new campus in Summer 2027!

This new campus marks an important next chapter for our school community and represents a major investment in our students, families, and staff. As Northside continues to grow, this space will help us create an even stronger environment for students in grades 6–12 to learn, connect, and prepare for what comes next.

We’re excited to begin sharing this journey with you now, even as planning and construction continue over the months ahead.

What’s Coming

The new Northside Secondary campus is being designed with today’s students and educators in mind. The goal is to create a learning environment that supports strong instruction, meaningful collaboration, and the wide range of experiences that make up a student’s middle and high school years.

The new campus will include features such as:

• Modern classrooms designed to support great teaching and learning
• Updated learning spaces that give students room to explore, ask questions, and build new skills
• Enhanced technology to support engaging and innovative learning experiences
• Flexible spaces built for collaboration, creativity, and connection
• A campus environment designed to support students throughout their journey from sixth grade through graduation

For our students, these spaces will provide more opportunities to engage deeply in their learning, work alongside their peers, and build the skills they need for college, career, and life.

“This new campus reflects our continued commitment to providing students with the high-quality learning environments they deserve,” said Principal Nicci Cole. “We’re excited about the opportunities this investment will create for our students, educators, and the entire Northside community.”

More Than a New Building

While we’re excited about the new classrooms, technology, and learning spaces, this project is about much more than a building.

YES Prep Northside Secondary has always been defined by its students, families, educators, and community. The new campus will give that community a new place to continue building traditions, celebrating student achievements, and creating memorable experiences together.

It will also provide a space designed to support students during some of the most important years of their education,: from their first days of middle school to the moment they walk across the stage at graduation.

What This Means for Families Right Now

For now, nothing changes for the current school year. Students will continue learning at our current campus while planning and construction move forward.

The move to our new home is expected to take place in Summer 2027, and we will share additional information with families well before the transition. As we get closer to opening, families can expect updates about the new campus, important dates, and what to expect during the move.

Our goal is to make the transition as clear and smooth as possible for students, families, and staff.

Building the Future of Northside

At YES Prep, we believe every student deserves a school environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This new campus is another step toward fulfilling that commitment.

As Northside Secondary looks toward 2027, we’re excited about what this new space will make possible, and even more excited about the students who will fill its classrooms, hallways, and learning spaces for years to come.

The countdown to Summer 2027 starts now!
