Excitement is building as YES Prep Public Schools prepares to open three new elementary schools in August 2024: Hobby Elementary, North Rankin Elementary and Southwest Oaks Elementary.
Before the halls are filled with eager learners, each campus community took the opportunity to celebrate their upcoming openings with a Play Day. These events were about more than just fun and games (though there were plenty of those). They were opportunities to highlight what makes YES Prep schools so special and help families understand why we stand out as the best choice for their children's education.
At these free Play Days, hundreds of families and children gathered to enjoy food, refreshments, music, bounce houses, face painting and an array of games and activities. It was a chance for the community to come together and experience the warmth and vibrancy that will define these new campus communities.
Breaking ground in August 2023 marked the beginning of a journey toward educational excellence for these campuses. Starting with pre-kindergarten through second grade, these schools will progressively add grade levels each year, ultimately providing a comprehensive education from pre-K through fifth grade.
Our elementary schools are more than just buildings—they are the foundation for student success at YES Prep Public Schools and beyond. With a focus on early literacy, language concepts, mathematics, and social skills, students will thrive in a safe and nurturing environment that sets them up for future success. Each level is designed to prepare students for the next.
