YES Prep Public Schools
JENNIFER PEREZ

We are proud to recognize the dedication and leadership of our principals, who guide our schools with unwavering commitment to student success. In honor of National Principals Month, we are spotlighting our incredible principal cohorts throughout October.

Each week, we will highlight a message from each of the school teams for their principals, who work tirelessly to create thriving, inclusive and academically rigorous environments for all YES Prep students.

SOUTHEAST ELEMENTARY

Principal Rodriguez, we are incredibly grateful for your leadership at Southeast Elementary and for embracing the whole school community. Thank you for stepping into this pivotal role with enthusiasm and grace and believing in what's possible for our Southeast Elementary students.

AIRLINE ELEMENTARY

Principal Hall, you continue to focus on building and strengthening Airline Elementary's vision of instructional excellence for all students. More importantly, you do a fantastic job welcoming all families and students into your academic programs at Airline Elementary, making each student feel exceptional and valued.

NORTH CENTRAL ELEMENTARY

Principal LaFlure, thank you for always advocating for your students and families. By doing so, North Central Elementary has established a strong culture of collaboration, family engagement and instructional excellence that has become the core of your leadership, longevity, and success in the North Central community.

SOUTHSIDE ELEMENTARY

Principal Citchen, you are leading Southside Elementary with increased accountability and vision! Your leadership has been pivotal in inspiring trust, motivating others, and driving team success - small and big wins! Your leadership at Southside Elementary inspires others to achieve greatness for your Southside community students and families.

NORTH RANKIN ELEMENTARY

Principal Dorsey, you launched North Rankin Elementary with tremendous joy and love, which exudes all over the campus! Since day one of school, you diligently advocate for and help students, teachers, and families get the proper support to set your students up for academic, behavioral, and emotional success. You consistently reflect on how to grow in your leadership so that your North Rankin students and families succeed!

WHITE OAK ELEMENTARY

Principal McMahan, thank you for starting the founding work of setting a clear and inspiring vision for White Oak Elementary. You fervently believe in what's possible for all students and will bring this same courage, joy, and excellence to the fabric of success for the White Oak community.

EAST END SECONDARY

Principal Peterson has built a foundation at YES Prep East End Secondary on Team, Belief, Growth and Achievement. Principal Peterson believes deeply in educating the whole child and ensuring every adult on campus is developed and supported in executing the vision of excellent student learning.

NORTHSIDE SECONDARY

Principal Cole knows fully that it takes a lot of work to grow a campus and increase student learning. She did just that during last school year. In that year, YES Prep Northside Secondary grew by 5 points in TEA's accountability rating. ACE it, Pride!

NORTH FOREST SECONDARY

Principal Alfred cares deeply about the community of North Forest. She was a teacher and leader at North Forest before becoming a principal there. She believes that small actions lead to Legendary outcomes at YES Prep North Forest Secondary. Legends are forever!

WHITE OAK SECONDARY

Principal Little saw tremendous success during his principalship at YES Prep Northbrook High School. Now as he begins his first year being the Principal at YES Prep White Oak Secondary, it is clear that the winning formula is being completely student-centered while allowing staff to lead autonomously in pursuit of positive student outcomes.

NORTH CENTRAL SECONDARY

Principal Macias believes in excellence and nothing less as the leader of YES Prep North Central Secondary. She believes in the partnership of school community and family. Our families and staff stay at North Central because they are Trailblazers!

THRIVE

Principal Quiballo started her K-12 career as an aide in a disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP) twelve years ago, and now she is leading her second DAEP campus. She is proudest of applying all she has learned in her various DAEP roles and in her academic research to lead a campus that is fully compliant with the law and working to become an exemplar to all DAEPs across the state.
