The Wortham Theater Center will soon be filled with Houston’s most passionate supporters of education, and at the heart of the Ninth Annual Leading Houston Forward Luncheon are co-chairs Sarah & Bryant Lee and Tricia & Jim Zucker. Their leadership sets the tone for a celebration of YES Prep’s incredible students, educators, and community.
The Lees have watched YES Prep grow from a single campus to 26 schools across Houston. Inspired by CEO Mark DiBella’s vision and the life-changing work of YES Prep educators, Sarah and Bryant have long championed an organization that nurtures every student to reach their full potential and become a future leader in our city.
For Tricia and Jim Zucker, the connection is both professional and personal. They both began their careers in education and met while serving as Teach for America corps members in Houston. Through her work at UTHealth Houston’s Children’s Learning Institute, Tricia partners with YES Prep on the Aero Reading Program and sees firsthand the impact of high-quality education on children’s lives. Together, the Zuckers have supported YES Prep for years, helping to expand opportunities for students and families across Houston.
As co-chairs, the Lees and Zuckers bring warmth, energy, and deep commitment to this year’s luncheon. Their presence reminds guests that this event is a celebration of a community united in belief in The Power of YES, YES Prep’s bold, four-year, $80 million campaign to provide a college-ready education to an additional 5,000 students.
