YES Prep Public Schools is proud to celebrate its strongest academic performance to date in the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) 2026 Accountability Ratings. YES Prep earned an overall B district rating with a score of 89, an eight-point increase from the previous year, while all 15 YES Prep secondary campuses earned an A rating. 

These results reflect the extraordinary commitment of our students, educators, staff, and families to academic excellence and continuous improvement. Together, we are creating learning environments where every student has the opportunity to thrive and achieve at the highest levels. 

The following YES Prep campuses earned an A rating: 

• Fifth Ward Secondary 

• East End Secondary 

• North Central Secondary 

• Northline Secondary 

• Brays Oaks Secondary 

• Gulfton Secondary 

• Northwest Secondary 

• Southeast Secondary 

• Southwest Secondary 

• White Oak Secondary 

• Northside Secondary 

• West Secondary 

• North Forest Secondary  

• Southside Secondary 

• Hobby Secondary 

These results represent meaningful progress across YES Prep. Our overall score increased eight points, from 81 to 89, marking our highest score to date and bringing us closer than ever to our system goal of becoming an A-rated district. YES Prep’s elementary schools also demonstrated strong academic progress, with more than half earning a B rating in the 2026 accountability results. 

Several campuses achieved significant milestones this year. YES Prep Southwest Secondary became the first YES Prep campus to earn an A without relying on Relative Performance. YES Prep Hobby Secondary improved by three letter grades in one year, while YES Prep Southside Secondary improved by four letter grades. These achievements reflect the hard work, focus, and commitment taking place across our schools. 

The TEA Accountability Ratings measure schools and districts across areas including student achievement, school progress and efforts to close achievement gaps. While accountability ratings are only one measure of a school’s impact, these results reflect the dedication of our campus communities and our shared belief that all students can succeed when provided with excellent instruction, meaningful support and high expectations.

YES Prep has set an ambitious goal of becoming the first A-rated public school district in Houston. With our overall score increasing from 81 to 89, this year’s results bring us closer than ever to achieving that goal. Having all 15 secondary campuses earn A ratings gives us an opportunity to learn from what is working, build on that success and continue strengthening every school across our system.
