These rankings highlight schools across the country that excel in state assessments, graduation rates, and college readiness — and YES Prep campuses continue to shine. 

Houston Standouts: Top 10% Locally and Nationally 

In the Houston metro area, three YES Prep campuses earned recognition in the Top 10% of all schools:

Southwest Secondary: Ranked #564 nationally and #71 in Texas, with a 96% graduation rate and a 98% AP participation rate. 

North Central Secondary: Ranked #739 nationally, with a remarkable 99% graduation rate and strong math proficiency at 79%. 

Brays Oaks Secondary: Ranked #1,286 nationally, excelling with an 80% AP participation rate and a 96% graduation rate. 

Southeast Secondary: Ranked #1,052 nationally and #124 in Texas, with a 97% graduation rate and a 100% AP participation rate.

Fifth Ward Secondary: Ranked #1,309 nationally, boasting a 100% AP participation rate and a 94% graduation rate. 

East End Secondary: Ranked #1,398 nationally, with a 97% AP participation rate and continued steady academic growth. 

Gulfton Secondary: Ranked #1,567 nationally, standing out with a 100% AP participation rate and a 94% graduation rate. 

West Secondary: Ranked #1,721 nationally, with a 100% AP participation rate and robust AP success among students. 

White Oak Secondary: Ranked #2,306 nationally, showing strong AP participation at 93% and a dedicated student body. 

Northside Secondary: Ranked #2,545 nationally, with nearly all students (99%) taking at least one AP exam. 

North Forest Secondary: Ranked #2,607 nationally, with 98% of students participating in AP courses. 

Southside Secondary: Ranked #5,259 nationally, maintaining a 100% AP participation rate and serving as a foundation for growth.
