YES Prep Elementary Schools 

For more than 25 years, YES Prep has served students in grades 6-12 and recently opened its doors to elementary students in the Houston area. North Central Elementary, North Forest Elementary and Airline Elementary are located in the Northeast of Houston. Southside Elementary, Southeast Elementary and East End Elementary are located in the Southeast of Houston. YES Prep has increased the number of students from underserved communities who graduate from college prepared to lead.  We now serve more than 14,000 students at 23 campuses and have a wait list reaching a record 7,000 students. 

In August 2024, YES Prep will open its doors to its newest elementary schools. These schools are North Rankin Elementary, Southwest Oaks Elementary, and Hobby Elementary.  Our elementary schools provide the same quality education to families with younger children in grades Pre-K through 5.  As we expand to offer elementary school options, we are recruiting more top, certified elementary school teachers, leaders, and extraordinary staff who will work with families to determine each child’s goals and areas of support needed.

YES Prep elementary schools strive to ensure that in every classroom, every day, all students engage in aligned, rigorous, and active learning to increase their college readiness.  Our elementary academic programming has been thoughtfully designed to ensure students become passionate learners through high-volume reading, solving, real-world and complex math problems, and engaging in scientific inquiry.  Our children will practice persistence, build positive relationships, and understand the world around us in a collaborative community.  Each day is designed to be filled with joy and opportunities for students to find their own voice to express their ideas, advocate for their needs, and discover new talents to be on track for sixth grade and ultimately college and beyond. We firmly believe that doing is at the core of learning.
