YES Prep's Chris Barbic Alumni Legacy Award Nominations

The Chris Barbic Legacy Alumni Award

Established in 2018, the Chris Barbic Legacy Award honors significant figures in the YES Prep community who have made a long-lasting impact. Past honorees include notable donors and community leaders, as well as corporations who have given above and beyond to ensure YES Prep continues on the path of providing opportunity to more of Houston’s students.

The legacy of YES Prep is best told by those who carry it’s torch – YES Prep Alumni. We invite you to recognize an outstanding YES Prep alum, who are blazing a path and improving our community, by nominating candidates for the award which will be given during the Leading Houston Forward Luncheon on October 24, 2024 at Wortham Theater Center.

YES Prep Alumni, from 1998-2023, are eligible for a nomination based on their embodiment of YES Prep core values:

  • Grow Authentic Leadership

  • Eliminate Educational Inequity to Advance Social Justice

  • Achieve Jaw-Dropping Results

  • Build Transformative Relationships

  • Create Pathways to Opportunity
